Romans Road To Salvation

1. The Human Problem:

The first part of the Romans Road confirms the state of every human as sinful and the state of God as Holy

Romans 3:10

10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one”

Romans 3:23

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2. Humanity’s Hope in Christ:

The second part of the Romans Road further explains the hope we have in the love of God expressed through Christ

Romans 5:8

8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

3. The Sinner’s Response:

Once we understand our need for a savior and recognize that Jesus Christ is that savior, we can respond by moving along to the third part of the Romans Road, calling out to Jesus.

Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:13

13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

4. The Result of Salvation:

The fourth part of the Romans Road mentions two results (peace and justification) after a sinner decides to declare and believe in their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, Romans 5:1-2 explains that through faith in Jesus Christ sinners can enjoy peace with God, no longer being separated from God by sin.

Romans 5:1-2

Results of Justification

1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 through whom we have gained access by faith into his grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Romans 8:1

Life in the Spirit

8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

REPENT & ACCEPT JESUS TODAY

Father God, I admit I am a sinner in need of forgiveness. I repent & turn away from my sins. I turn toward you God. I declare/speak with my mouth Jesus is Lord & I believe in my heart You God raised Jesus from the dead. I accept your Son Jesus as my Lord & Savior. Thank you for saving me. Amen……

Once you’ve prayed the above it’s VERY important to get involved/serve in a God’s Word only preaching/teaching Church. Pray for God’s guidance to place you in a Church He wants you to serve in. Ask to be baptized. Also begin reading/studying God’s Word/Bible daily yourself to begin your walk/growth as a Christian/Child of God……...
